The name of this blog (as well as my product line) evolved from a concept of combining creativity through crafting and my love of nature. It began with a simple hand drawn flower logo and the words “This Seed was Planted by Leann” and grew into Sowing Crafty Seeds when I created my Etsy Shop to sell my stuff online.
Although my professional anthropology/paleontology background shapes a large part of my world view, I am interested in SO MANY things! I think of myself as a Jane of All Trades, a person following the middle path, and someone who tries to rely on ideas as opposed to beliefs about the world.
I’ve dabbled in the Arts and Crafts world all my life and I enjoy a lot of different types of creative projects: writing, papercrafts, cooking, and graphic design to name a few. The most successful has been making greeting cards, which was the initial motivation for this website. However, as time goes on, I plan to feature a variety of my creative outlets.
I am proud to say that I come from a long line of crafty women. Whether they were baking, sewing, or decorating the house with flair, I would not be what I am without them. This site is dedicated to them.
